Christmas Tree

These pine trees grow in Washington state. While there, I was less interested in seeing the publishing company that writes quilt magazines, than I was walking out the door and looking up up to these huge pine trees.

Cascading Flowers

Cascading flowers was made for the Project Open Hand silent auction and was loved at $550. This organization makes meals for poor and sick people in the poorest part of San Francisco, the Tenderloin neighborhood.

Spilled Vase

The flowers tumble on their way down, picking up water bubbles along the way and eventually land upside down or on their sides. There is a condition called refraction which is the water in the vase being distorted from the water outside the vase. This effect was barely used and will be pursued another time.

Galveston

I was asked to make a quilt depicting Galveston for the silent auction of the Galveston county Salvation Army. They loved it at $550.

In the Lake

“In the Lake” – a look at THE lake – through the eyes of the fish. One lost hook for fisherman, one win for fish.

For the N’er Do Wall

When you sit down to a dining room table, people on one side of the table end up looking at a wall. This wall hanging is made for that wall. Now, everyone can have a nice view to study. The quilting is so heavy that the wall hanging looks more like a tapestry.
