This is my quilt for the Minnesota Contemporary Quilters’ 2018 challenge, “Inspired by….” My entry is “My Beeting/Bleeding heart” and is inspired by Salvador Dali. Dali often included these little stick people who are doing things unconnected to the subject matter of the drawing or painting. I really enjoyed making this wall hanging.
Sadie is a little girl who will be looking up to someone behind/beside her. She will be accompanied by her sister, Sophie, who is not done yet, and her mother, Clarice, who is yet to be created. Clarice has her hands full with these two little charmers.
Here is “Edna”. She is a member of the Red Hat society and is very active in marching for peace and many other causes. Edna is the first to be waiting at the corner for the bus. Several other people will join her before the bus comes. Stay tuned.
