This is my quilt for the Minnesota Contemporary Quilters’ 2018 challenge, “Inspired by….” My entry is “My Beeting/Bleeding heart” and is inspired by Salvador Dali. Dali often included these little stick people who are doing things unconnected to the subject matter of the drawing or painting. I really enjoyed making this wall hanging.

Sadie is a little girl who will be looking up to someone behind/beside her. She will be accompanied by her sister, Sophie, who is not done yet, and her mother, Clarice, who is yet to be created. Clarice has her hands full with these two little charmers.

Star, unfinished, is the Goth girl/woman who has probably seen better days. By the looks of her face, she’s had some not-so-easy days and her age is showing.
