Betty is in her twilight years. Many years retired. Betty spends her days quilting and sewing. She has had some heart problems and then surgeries and is now on the mend. Using a walker helps her balance – the last thing she wants to do is fall! Betty is concerned about periodic discussions in cutting Social Security and Medicare benefits. That’s what she lives on, so as the cost of everything rises, some things need to be eliminated from her budget. Having worked her whole life, she’s contributed to Social Security each year. It’s “her money and she wants it now”, as the financial planners’ advertisement goes.
